The Photo Gallery: New
Week 127
This week's theme prompted me to go out and actually use my new camera. I bought a second hand Canon Digital SLR just after Christmas and hadn't used it since it arrived. I spent all of Saturday morning with the camera firmly strapped to my neck. One day I will learn to take 'proper' photos, but for now I am just using the auto range!
I took a gorgeous photo of my daughter which has fabulous blues and reds in it. The colours somehow seem to be sharper and more defined than on my old camera.
I opted for this picture in the end. The new snow falling fresh from the sky, covering the terraces in a thin layer of crispy snow. The crows kept flying around, I guess to stop snow landing on them, and to keep warm!

DeleteI really want a proper camera, I get good photos with my phone but all these photo projects have left me wanting something bigger and better. That is a great photo.

ReplyDeleteI often pull over in random verges and get out to take pictures! Although this was taken from the warmth of my bedroom!
DeleteI've got a fairly new Canon SLR too. I have used manual focus a few times; does that count as taking real photos?

It definitely counts! I hope it does because I haven't tried anything else yet. We do have a lovely view from our house!
